Interested in Purchasing our Understanding Trauma Presentation DVD?

Presenter Gena Castro Rodriguez, LMFT has her October 4th, 2012 Trauma Conference presentation available on DVD now for $25.

The young people we work with have significant histories of trauma, yet many of us don't really understand what it is, how it affects youth and what can be done about it. Anger, substance abuse, self harm, poor relationships, education and employee deficits, and even poor health can all be symptoms of trauma that are missed every day. This introduction to trauma will provide a framework for understanding the origins, developmental effects and treatment for those working with adolescent and young adult clients.

Gena Castro Rodriguez is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has provided individual, family, couple and group therapy for nine years. She is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic approaches. She also has advanced training in trauma treatment, including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (ITP), and Eye Movement Reprocessing and Desensitization (EMDR). Ms. Castro Rodriguez specializes in work with women, young adults, and adolescents.
